Rehearsal and then Dinner

Rehearsal and then Dinner

New Image
Through the planning of your wedding a small but important detail that you do not want to forget about is the rehearsal as well as a dinner to follow! The rehearsal typically takes place the day before your wedding at your ceremony venue. Now every venue is different so make sure you discuss these details prior to with the venue coordinator to confirm the time and date and place.
Your rehearsal will take about 30 to 45 minutes. You will want everyone who is walking in your processional: wedding party, grandparents, parents and officiant; to attend the rehearsal. While this is a great time to mingle and socialize with everyone, it is best if that is saved until dinner. The beginning of the rehearsal will start in the front to make sure everyone knows where they will be standing or sitting. In most cases the officiant will take charge of the Rehearsal. Once everyone knows their place, practice the entrance! You will want to practice walking in twice if not more until everyone is comfortable!
Following the rehearsal you will want to have everyone (don’t forget the significate others) join the couple for a dinner. Your rehearsal dinner can be anyplace! It can be a sit down meal, appetizers, or even pizza. Whichever option you decide to go with, make sure the arrangements and location are made in advance.  If you are having the dinner at a restaurant make your reservation ahead of time. Make sure that you have accounted for everyone that may be joining you, is your officiant going to be attending? You want to ensure everyone has all the details needed for your dinner: Time, location, and reservation name.
Bon Appetite
